Attracting Top Talent is the Ultimate Goal

The reason anyone joins a Talent Community or Neighborhood is that they have some level of interest in the company in the first place.   We find that attracting them to a Community from a company’s Career Page and using multiple Social Network Channels is effective - but to really pique their curiosity offering to provide a company’s “inside story” is far and away the clincher!  Our Company Voices module is fun,  thought provoking and illuminating on not just what it’s like to work at a company - but the things about a company that matter most to potential career consumers.

clean journey, sustainable hiring, workforce sustainability, career community, talent community, career investment, green economy, green job, green career, career change, clean tech, clean energy, renewable energy, alternative energy, green collar job, sustainability, career development, social media marketing, social web, employment marketing, employment value proposition, some maintenance required, great changers, CSRWhat is it?

It’s important to offer something different from a canned speech or video found on the Career Page given by a well meaning, but fully prepped employee.  Using a handful of HR "Ambassadors" to tell their story is a bit better, but these are mostly viewed as crafted company statements.

To separate our approach, we use a series of surveys over the course of the year where we poll a large group of the company’s employees on numerous fun and interesting questions that would interest the average worker.  No manipulation, no small sample of opinions from corporate "Kool Ade" drinkers, just the genuine story of what it's like.

Company Credibility is Key

By polling the entire workforce, the credibility of the survey answers will be high and people interested in the company for future career possibilities will be drawn for all the right reasons – because they find it is a cultural and environmental “fit.”  Not only will the company’s Employment Brand be defined better, enhancing the overall company marketing efforts, but the hiring of new employees will be of a higher caliber that will lower employee turnover.

Who Sees the Answers?

Upwardly Me will evaluate the survey answers and will send out interesting and fun information to the Talent Community or Neighborhood Membership, and also to the general public as part of a Social Media campaign if chosen by the company.  Either way, this element of our Employment Program is a key tool for it's overall success.  Click Here to see an example of what is delivered to Community Members.

What about Negative Answers?

If there is a negative response to a survey question, we work with the company to help turn around the workforce impression of the question.  For example, if the workforce thinks that the coffee provided by the company is the equivalent of nail polish remover, we’ll make suggestions to source a similar cost but better type of coffee.  In the next calendar quarter we'll run the coffee question again hopefully with positive results this time around, demonstrating the employee-centric attitude the company exhibits for making the change, and telling everyone that the coffee now “rocks!”

How it Works

No information is released without the O.K from company management - so the company is always in control of crafting their branding message.  The questions are meant to be fun and entertaining and based more on environmental and cultural issues.  We provide dozens of questions in numerous categories to choose from (work style, mental acuity, environment, management, etc.).  There is always something to share and we keep the flow of “inside story” information fresh and interesting.  We certainly offer the ability to customize and craft any of the survey questions to fit a company's specific needs. (for a small additional fee)

Powerful

We view our Company Voices module as the key to starting the talent acquisition engine and its one of our most powerful tools...
